About
I am a composer and sound artist based in the Glasgow area. I love to blend the sounds of acoustic instruments with the sounds of nature to create electroacoustic fixed media compositions. Inspiration for a lot of my acoustic writing comes from my prior career as a scientist. I tend to use maths based systems and unusual tunings to generate musical material which I then sculpt and further combine with field recordings, to create my own style. I also create interactive electronic pieces and scores for acoustic ensembles ranging from small chamber group to wind band and orchestra. In addition, I construct sound installations and design and build strange musical instruments from recycled objects.
I graduated with MMus in Composition from the University of Glasgow in the summer of 2019
